Professors Speak

The instructors are gifted and popular teachers who have received numerous all-university awards for their excellence in inspirational teaching of undergraduates. Professor Julie Fishell is a Julliard-Drama-School-trained professional actor and director. She has received the Tanner Award for Excellence in Undergraduae Teaching, and she created and admnisters a popular New York City academic theatre study and professional internship program. Professor Gerald Unks, who has received numerous awards for his inspirational teaching, is a member of the UNC Academy of Distinguished Teaching Scholars. He has led trips to Europe, the USSR, and the Peoples Republic of China. This is his thirty-fifth year leading the Summer School Abroad in London.
