Galleries & Museums
In the London Program you are required to visit and see what you would
want to visit and see anyway.
London is one of the artistic capitals of the world, and visiting some of its great galleries and museums is a requirement of the London Program. (Of course you will visit these galleries and museums on your own, or in small free-association groups; no bus drop-off and group tours, thank you.) At the NATIONAL GALLERY, you will use a special multimedia program to study some of the world's greatest paintings in detail. A similar procedure is used at the NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY and at the NEW TATE GALLERY. The BRITISH MUSEUM and the BRITISH LIBRARY contain the largest collection of Egyptology outside of Egypt, as well as a magnificent manuscript collection and stunning Greek sculptures. You will also be asked to visit the VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM -- often called "Great Britain's Attic" and the MUSEUM OF LONDON.
