ELIGIBILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY

Any student in good standing in any university in the United States is eligible to participate in this program. Should the number of applicants exceed the number of available spaces (and it always does), participants will be accepted under a random selection Summer School registration process including but not limited to screening for GPA and permission of the instructors. A waiting list is maintained for replacing participants who leave the program prior to departure. Special conditions may apply to applicants who do not attend UNC-Chapel Hill or who will not be on campus during the Spring, 2009, semester. All qualified persons are equally welcome to seek admission to the UNC-Chapel Hill Summer School Abroad in London, and all persons may apply for and accept admission confident that the policy and regular practice of the program will not discriminate against them on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexuality, or national origin.

PARTICIPATING AIR CARRIERS:

The services of any IATA and/or ATC air carrier may be used for the air portion of this tour. The tour operator--Wilcox Travel Agency, Inc. (Wilcox World Tours)--and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-Chapel Hill) act only as agents for the various companies, owners or contractors providing the means of transportation, accommodation, and other services pertaining to the tour. The operators reserve the right to make changes in and substitutions for any and all itineraries and/or activities referenced herein without prior notice. All exchange orders, coupons and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions under which such means of transportation, accommodation and other services are offered or provided. The issuance and acceptance of such tickets shall be deemed to be consent to the further conditions: (a) The tour operator--Wilcox World Tours--and UNC-Chapel Hill shall not be in any way liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by defect or irregularity on any vehicle, or through the acts or default of any company, or person engaged in conveying the passengers, or of any hotel proprietor, personnel or servant or of any person otherwise in connection therewith; (b) Each exchange coupon, order and ticket is to be regarded as one contracted by or on behalf of the particular company or person named in it. (c) Delivery of baggage to the airline, railway or motorcoach shall be deemed an irrevocable release of the tour operator from any and all liability whatsoever resulting from the loss, damage, or delay in transit to any baggage of the tour participant during any portion of the tour, including sightseeing.
